Going to the Sun -- Glacier National Park (NP)?

If Mother Nature cooperates the road will be open in late June. Some years the road doesn’t open until the first week of July. If I had to choose either an east or west approach I would pick east. The road is currently open to Jackson Glacier Overlook and with a little luck may be open to Logan P soon. The eastern approach will give you “postcard” views – breathtaking. While you’re at Logan P, be sure to hike the short trail up to Hidden Lake Overlook. The view is more than worth the effort to make this uphill hike – even in the snow.
