I need help extracting files from roms?

if u have the n64 emulater u dont need to extract the roms to play em.....open ur n64 emulator go to file and look for the roms and they will all apear...just click on the one u want to play and it will start...as far as the sound i think the emulator should have a sound option on it..hope it helps
