Is 'The nation of Islam' the same as mainstream Islam?

hell to the no. not even close. its like calling a tribe of pagans out in the woods burning crosses "orthodox christian".. NOTHING in common.. its one of those things where for whatever reason they thought islam was a catchy name and decided to use it. nothing in common. at all. what so ever
