Yes, I liked him as well. He had been ill for some time though. He was also a contributing writer for Vanity Fair magazine and I always liked his insightful writings on famous murder trials that he attended (he wrote extensively on O.J. Simpson, Phil Spector, etc.). He pretty well said it like it was and that's what I particularly liked about him; he didn't beat around the bush.
