What's wrong with my pet?

A few days ago, I accidentally forgot to feed my pet. I remembered a few hours after normal feeding time and promptly gave him some food, but Reginald seemed very angry with me. Now it just seems like he ignores me, turns away when I'm looking at him, it's just like I'm nonexistent to him. I've never had this problem with any of my previous palm trees, so I'm kind of at a loss here. Any suggestions?
