Cell Phone Fell In Water...HELP!?

Well today i dropped my phone in water, it was in the water for about 1-3 seconds as soon as i got it out and got the battery out i then grabbed a towel and dryed it as best it could as i ran into the kitchen i then grabbed a big bag of rice and opened it and put my cell phone in the bag completely submerged its been in there since 8:30 am to 4:30 pm im worried is there anything else i can do? (the phone is and LG enV touch)
