What is the perimeter and area of a right triangle with a hypotenuse of 37 and a leg of 12?

To find the perimeter, use the Pythagorean Theorem, a2+b2=c2, where c is 37 and a is 12. Solve for b (square root of c2 - a2), then add a, b and c to find the perimeter. The area is 1/2 base * height, which would be 1/2 a * b. I leave it to you to solve.
