If a guy did this then what does it mean exacatly?

ok if a guy takes off his $40 engagment ring that him and his ex bought,(well they bought their own rings) anyway if he takes it off in front a girl he says he loves and literally bites the thing in half rips off the necklace his ex gave him and rips up all of her pics in his wallet hands this to the girl and asks her to throw it out forever. and tells this girl how badly he loves her and wants to be with her. is he telling the truth? i mean is this an actual sign stating that he is finally done with the other chick and that he is ready to be with the girl he has been in love with for a while now? should this girl still have doubts? in other words should i be scared that hes going to go back to the ex or should i believe him abd just be happy? he has b4 a few times went back with her, but never did he rip up pics or throw away jewlery and he really liked that necklace but he said he didnt want it becuz she gave it to him. we promised eacother that we will never hurt eachother ever
